Before you ask questions here LOOK AT THIS THREAD HERE! Please kindly keep your Speedtest stuff to yourself, nobody wants it shitting up the thread

CIPWTTKT&GC: That Ain't Thermal Paste
i vote this for new title
Welcome to CIPWTTKT&GC, this thread started out in 2009 as a thread to point and laugh at generally computer illiterate people who the poster had come across, over time however this has become a more general chat for the Hardware And Software forums with actual content similar to the original becoming a rarer breed. In addition to this thread we also have a [Steam Group] and an IRC channel Server: benjeffery.ca Port: 6667 Channel: #cipwttkt Google hangouts do occur on occasion however this is usually done on a whenever basis, with many arranged at short notice. Please try and not go all out fanboy in this thread, nobody wants a thread shat up to high heaven with un-constructive Windows V Linux posts. (Or similar) In general please try to keep things related to the actual topics we are supposed to discuss in this section of the forum. Try to keep a cool head and not stir up drama . Previous topics can be found HERE Very old OP: template, link retained for whatever reason http://pastebin.com/SQH8XnuM New OP template, for future threads http://pastebin.com/CjMRL5NY
Oh my god the best title.
You're welcome. Your wish, my command, etc etc
From last thread
which?
MERP (LOTR mod)
I still don't approve of having a decimal version of the version number in the title. Anyone who gets it, doesn't need it, and anybody who doesn't get it, will be more confused by the two numbers than by the one incorrect one.
Oh my god the best title.
Would've been better if it was "That ain't toothpaste" :v:
Version numbers are archaic, deprecated technology. We should mirror the thread to a Git repo, and use the latest hash as the version.
Why don't we just take a hint from Java? You can unnecessarily drag on v36 with 36.01, 36.28185, 36.7837 until you just arbitrarily decide to bump it to v37.
Re skyrim mods I'm just waiting for Enderal. It looks really neat.

RIP one of my matched Corsair XMS sticks. Memtest fails it like no tomorrow with a stuck bit. 2013-2015.
Version numbers are archaic, deprecated technology. I was playing around with the TressFX sample program that AMD provides. Turning on hair strand antialiasing makes it render the hair faster than normal. Turning on antialiasing, makes something faster. I give up, there's no logic to this world.
From last thread MERP (LOTR mod)
When politics annihilate mankind's best shot at getting a proper Middle-earth simulation and exploration game, that is when I say fuck politics. And no, Shadow of Mordor doesn't count, although it is good but its primary objective is an orc killing simulator instead of exploration simulator, not to mention it is only limited to Mordor...
just noticed these are the same threads??
I'll hunt the proper shit down tomorrow morning, damnit of course the templates had to screw me over in some way.

Turns out in Skyrim you can't do triggers beyond a certain distance from the origin point of the map so they couldn't make it nearly as big as they planned.
Well then. 3000 rpm fans are crazy, every time i start up my computer it sounds like a jet taking off :v:
Well then. 3000 rpm fans are crazy, every time i start up my computer it sounds like a jet taking off :v:
Come back when you've got a 13k rpm delta.
It wasn't missing in v32. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1261295
Come back when you've got a 13k rpm delta.
I'll keep that in mind for the next time i want to shear off all the circuitry off my boards
Well here we go again
or chrome make a mod bump the version number every week
Or we could do the IE thing and just leave the number as-is for several years.

Speaking of sourceforge being dicks: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/05/sourceforge-grabs-gimp-for-windows-account-wraps-installer-in-bundle-pushing-adware/ "oh it was abandoned" is apparently a legit reason for them to bloatify the installer. And they wonder why people call them dicks.
