• Two wifi connections?
    15 replies, posted
I just noticed that I get a full signal on not only my wifi, but my neighbors as well. Is there any way to connect to both simultaneously to get better ul\dl speeds? If that isn't possible, is it possible to connect to both and have one program use one connection, and one use the other for downloads?
I don't think Windows can do that, you can't really have two different connections and have one program dedicated to using one connection and another program dedicated to the other connection. Linux is a different story though, I think I read an article somewhere about something like that being done in Linux.
I think it's possible, but you'd need 2 wireless cards?
Well when I right click on my wireless networks it has "Disconnect from..." and gives me a list with only one option, so I'm assuming that it's able to connect, but I don't think I can get another wireless card. I can but it isn't really worth it.
Broadcom cards can do this, but it requires two wireless cards and special software from them.
I'm not going to help you because you're stealing your neighbors connection.

Your PC will merely use one or the other. This is possible but usually requires you having to speak to the ISP and getting them to set it all up correctly their end.

It's probably not worth the trouble.
You can enable multiple connections by going into your WiFi adapters settings and tick, "allow multiple connections". Some Have it, and some don't. I don't own a laptop, Nor a Wireless adapter of any kind, I just know my shit... After its ticked, apply the settings and try it to connect. If you can't find the little box, well you're shit outta luck. [editline]03:34AM[/editline] Dammit, I just remembered the Little boxes song... Their made outta ticky tacky...
Well, I can't find it anywhere, it isn't really that important, and apparently it's hard as shit to set it up the way I wanted to.
