I would really wait before buying this on console. Last gen had major performance issues took forever to get DLC.

Did they ever actually release much of the current DLC on the last-gen consoles? I remember it being pretty dead, and this existing might actually explain why it looked like they abandoned it.
Did they release a single update for the 360 version
They'll probably abandon these again in favor of the PC version. Do not buy.

iirc it was on the 2013 beta version for quite a while
They never fail to use 'payday' in an ending line
Payday 2 Crimewave Edition is the definitive edition of Payday 2 for the console Market. Due to the technical limitations of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, those versions of the game were not able to get the dlc and upgrades like the pc versions. But with the PS4 and XBone those limitations are non-existant and are no longer an issue. The PS4 and Xbone versions will be updated alongside the PC version with the same updates.

While that might be true, the complete shitfest that was the original console editions may have poisoned the well forever, unfortunately. While I want as many people to enjoy Payday 2 as possible, there might just not be a community readily available for the new console versions because of the PC focus.
