not saying it's gonna suck but with activision publishing they are gonna do something to ruin it

Activision doesn't care.
This is true. They don't always milk a studio's games
they just shut the studio down.
RIP Raven.
Afaik there's more I can't think of.
The LA Times got their hands on the full 27-page document. According to the original contract, the first "Destiny" game would be exclusive to Xbox consoles, the 360 and its successor. "Later games" would then be multiplatform as per the original announcement, coming to the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC.
Is it just me, or does this sound insanely shitty?
Guys guys, its okay
The good part of Bungie split off into 343
Damn, a lot of decent folks from Bungie stayed on and now they're going to be made to make shitty 2-year games and DLC for 10 years... great choice switching from Microsoft to Activision there...
Just because Activision are publishing doesn't mean they have any kind of creative control

Well.. You're right. It was a good choice (I know you were being sarcastic) Why would making a game every year and DLC for 10 years be a bad thing? I think people forget that it's a business, and regardless of what you think, THEY make money, which is the whole POINT.
I feel like if they stuck with MS they would've made Freelancer 2. I thought it was hinted in reach's space level, but i guess not.
I like how Bungie said they were probably going to go multiplat, and now it's an Xbox exclusive. Someone is sucking someone's corporate dick here.
It's just a publishing deal. Bungie goes to activision "Hey bro can you publish this", and Activision says "Alrighty". As opposed to what usually happens which is where activision goes to one of their dev studios and says "Hey make this" and the studio says "Okay".
Dear people who think Activision is going to ruin this IP.
1 This project is a Bungie owned IP. 2. Bungie is a Privately held company, which is in no way owned by Activision. 3 Activision is simply the publisher of this IP, and has no control of the development aspect the project. So if you are expecting COD, or this game to automatically be bad, you are misinformed, or being stupid.
Bungie is calling this shots here, not Activision.

Why the fuck would Bungie be making a Freelancer game?

Actually, this franchise will eventually be Multiplat.

What a moronic thing to say, only 9 out the 200+ employees that actively worked on a recent Bungie Halo Title went over to 343.

Publishers can influence developer choices.
publishers pay the bills

And I never said otherwise, but there is no way in hell Bungie will let them do anything stupid to a franchise that Activision doesn't own.
Is it just me, or does this sound insanely shitty?
Well, you won't know until they release some more information.

that could be a point if Raven was actually shut down
