"He referred to Amazon's membership scheme, Amazon Prime, as a "one-of-a-kind, all-you-can-eat, physical-digital hybrid", adding that its user base grew by 53% last year."
it grew last year because it was the last year you could get it at the old price. it's userbase will drop easily 70% for this year.
I love Amazon. I don't use it enough to spend $100 for a year of it. That being said, I buy most of my shit from them and I say I'd use them at least once or twice a month. I don't buy anything retail anymore. Amazon always has it for cheaper and if you can afford to wait a few days to a week, they're the best.
Just last night, Amazon refunded me 94$, 25%, off of the GTX 970 I had ordered because of Nvidia's mistake. They had no need to do that. That was on Nvidia, not Amazon. I was surprised. They offered a full refund if I'd like to mail back the card but I stated I was content with it and just wanted to inform them.
I like ordering from amazon. Got flash drives, some great headphones from japan, controllers, tons of console games. EVERYTHING I get from them works, too.

In fact I may say screw it and order something right now for the fun of waiting :v:

Not that I buy vinyl anyways, why?
I actually really like Amazon, despite the occasional hiccups.
My order for some computer parts was delayed unexpectedly so I contacted support. All I wanted was an estimate on when the product might arrive and as compensation for the delay, the refunded my order back to me in full and said when it comes in, to keep it.

Yeah that's why I use Amazon almost exclusively and advise all I know who are looking for something/shopping retail to do the same. Their customer service is amazing. My GTX that I mentioned was partially refunded was part of a larger computer build I ordered almost exclusively from them.

If you use them even just once or twice a month, Prime might be worth it just to cover shipping costs if there's no free shipping options available. It was worth it to me, but I ordered like 30 things in the course of my Prime membership.

I've gotten completely wrong orders, extremely damaged copies, poor packaging, and sometimes very long wait times even though I have amazon prime.
One time, I ordered Ben Frost's "By the Throat" on vinyl. It took them two weeks to send me it, but it ended up being John Mayor's "Continuum". Then again, they tried sending it, and I got Foo Fighters' "Greatest Hits". By then, I just asked them to cancel my order. It was getting really fucking ridiculous.
Customer service is great, though. I have no complaints about that.
