• Tips on gaining calories?

I'm (hopelessly) underweight and my doctor prescribed that I gain calories. Any easy/fast ways to do that? (this thread is a Post your because I'm asking you guys for personal input and your ideas.)
Drink Cola and eat Chocolate. It's how I got fat. And oh you have to eat ALOT. Don't skip the healthy stuff like carrots, cucumber, sallad, cabbage w/e etc. etc.
Be creative. Instead of making sandwiches with bread, use Pop-Tarts. Instead of chewing gum, chew bacon. And remember, if you're not sure about something, rub it against a piece of paper. If the paper turns clear, it's your window to weight gain.

I think I have fast metabolism- so I don't gain weight like that as such. But gaining CALORIES...
You can't gain colories, calories are a measure of energy. You can increase your calorie intake, resulting in you putting on weight providing you're eating more calories than you're burning.
McDonalds once a day ever day for 3 weeks.

Sit on my ass all day drinking tea and eating ice cream? Done. [editline]07:44PM[/editline]
McDonalds once a day ever day for 3 weeks.
Ugh, I hate Mcdonalds. I can't stand anything they have.
Okay okay, how do I do that?
The recommended daily calorie intake for men is 2500 calories. Read the food labels to see how many colories that piece of food contains, keep track of them and try to average 3000-3500 a day. Simple as that really. Stuff like butter, cream, pastries, suet and sugary foods should help you on your way to getting fat.

Try getting a lot of protein, and eat a lot of meat, milk, cheese and stuff like that.

Get Some meal replacements and shakes and so on.
Win.
It's from the Simpsons or some other, don't get too excited. [editline]08:32PM[/editline]
Try getting a lot of protein, and eat a lot of meat, milk, cheese and stuff like that.
I eat that sort of stuff regularly.
Gaining weight can be actually really difficult for someone. Calore usage seems to go up together with amount of calories eaten. I can eat a bar or two bars of chocolate and eat fast food on top of regular meals for some time and next and I can be ill for a week without eating much, and my weight still stays as it is. I'm not underweight but I would be if I hadn't work out. My ribs stick out really clearly ect.
I think they sell Calorie bars at walmart. You could try those.
i'm on this kinda thing too, i'm extremely underweight and i've been eating candy and soda more frequently since halloween has passed. I've gained only 5 pounds since last year >_<

stay on face punch eat candy and drink sodas
Hahah that was brilliant.
It's from the Simpsons, bro... 'normal'? [editline]10:34PM[/editline]
stay on face punch eat candy and drink sodas
Done. No avail.
www.thisiswhyyourefat.com One Twinkie casserole should do the trick
It's from the Simpsons, bro...
no shit, word for word. which is why I found it funny.. 'bro'
no shit, word for word. which is why I found it funny.. 'bro'
Well the way you said it sounded like you were applauding him to ORIGINALITY. Bro.
Wider shouldiers, bigger chest, thicker legs really make you look more normal. And gaining some muscles in your back hides some of your ribs. But it does take time.
Eat more.
You need to eat high calorie foods, think doughnuts and fast food.
try to avoid fast food really, aim for high calorie and less artery clogging
You can't gain colories, calories are a measure of energy.
You need to eat high calorie foods, think doughnuts and fast food.
More high calorie foods yes, but don't go strait for the sugar/fatty foods. Just increase your food intake in every category (grains, meats, veggies, fruits, etc) to gain weight and stay healthy doing it. Start with meats and breads and you should be on a good start, but you should check with a dietitian if possible.
eat at macdonalds/pizza hut
mcdonalds, whataburger (if your in the deep south) taco bell taco salad (like 3k callories) or eat like the fat guy in monty pythons the meaning of life.
