I still haven't gotten around to playing this much, I tried the hardest difficulty on iron man and failed horribly and haven't played it since :v:
But I could tell it is definitely a good game, well worth it at this price
This game is really really sexy, and despite not being a clone to the original ones which may upset some people, it's still a really awesome game which makes my dick elerium hard.
The only problem is the bugs, although it's been patched, as far as I know there's still some bugs left, which can ruin your day, especially if you're playing ironman (which to be honest you should only toggle if you can't control yourself to not savescum, as for bugs it's really useful).

Good luck commander
I can only say that this is a fucking steal.
Definitely worth the price.
Guess I'll just get the DLC now since it's 66% off as well. Got the game with my B:I pre-order and I almost loved it as much as the B:I itself.
If you don't buy this now or in the summer sale then you're a bad person who likes shitty games.
Played the original and loved it, not sure I should get this one quite yet however since I haven't finished the original and sort of burnt myself out after 50 hours of same-y missions. Hope it shows again during the summer sales.

Theres a lot less micromanagement in Enemy Unknown and it's generally easier to get into.
It's also a lot more satisfying to see your sniper's plasma bolt smack a Chrsyallid in the face for 25 damage in glorious 3d slowmotion.
Wasn't this already 66% off like last week?

I think the original is better but this is still a good game.
I'm not generally a fan of tactics games but I grabbed this for $20 after hearing near-universal praise and I'm honestly really glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyable game. Only complaints are the occasional bugs.
This game is pretty damn sweet indeed. How much content is in the Slingshot pack BTW, worth it or not?
I bought this on amazon about a week ago.
WHY MUST IT BE ON SALE NOW
FOR CHEAPER
How many major bugs are still in?

That is a part of Gabe's plan.

Just did another Ironman Hard playthrough a while ago and I didn't encounter anything gamebreaking myself, but you know how bugs can be.
I just spent the last 2-3 hours of my day having my guys get shot to death the second they step out of the Skyranger in the original X-Com, I'm not quite prepared to see that in high definition.

I find situations like those rarely happen in XCOM, it's generally easier and more forgiving than the original.
Been playing this on hard difficulty with ironman mode on. Sadistic as fuck to see my fresh recruits being thrown in the meat grinder.
got this for £7 off amazon the other week, it is awesome, don't think I could cope in Iron Man though cause if one of my soldiers die it pisses me off and I reload save.
This game is kicking rad. Lots of fun.
It's less replayable than the original, but it's still an excellent game and I recommend everyone to get it.
The single fact that the devs are the same guys who made Civilization V made me really want to get this one.
Also Julian Gollop approves to this game, if it's important to someone :v: anyway the game is great even if it's not a remake. It adds it's own unique flavor to it.
It is a fucking good game.
Though while I did encounter a few utterly rage inducing bullshit bugs (glitching Sectopods suddenly in the middle of my dudes is NEVER fun) and moments, (like having a sniper miss 2 85% chance hits and a 97% chance all on one mission, it was fitting she died a "tragic" death shortly afterwards), it is still a great game that I still enjoy to bits.
My tip for new players: I'd really recommend not doing Ironman out the door on Classic difficulty. Just don't start there.
I like to name my team members after people I know or celebrities to add some personality to them
Makes it more interesting to keep them alive and stuff
Maybe don't start on classic if you're that afraid, but the game should never be played without ironman.

One time I had one named Master Chief, he was a sniper and killed like 14 aliens by himself before finally kicking the bucket. RIP
