So i finally got a bit of money and im ready to order a new GPU i was thinking about possibly getting this http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SUPERCLOCKED-Graphics-02G-P4-2662-KR/dp/B00966IREK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356614693&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+660 But a friend of mine told me that the EVGA cards are having some issues with newer games so im not really sure What i will do mostly is well gaming so yeah i need a pretty strong GPU So well feel free to help me a bit .. Also i also need a bit of help getting new ram for the new motherboard and CPU im ordering next year and well i guess this is fine http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-240-Pin-Platforms-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_1?ie= Im not really too " smart " at pc building so yeah ...
I'd get a 560Ti 2GB or a 7850 2GB rather than the 660 I think if I were you, should be a bit cheaper too You don't really need Corsair Vengeance to be honest, you'd be fine with XMS without the edgy heatsinks
well whats the difference between the 560TI And the 660? shouldnt a newer model in theory be better?
well whats the difference between the 560TI And the 660? shouldnt a newer model in theory be better?
price/performace ratio, the 660 is meh on that area. Might aswell just save for a 660 ti at that point.
Indeed although even then 660ti doesn't have that great of a price/performance ratio there's less difference between 660 and 560 than you may expect
I see.. so i should just get the 560 TI instead?
No, the GTX 660 is still quite a bit ahead: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6276/nvidia-geforce-gtx-660-review-gk106-rounds-out-the-kepler-family/5
I would not get the 560 ti over the 660. The 660 out performs the 560 ti and uses less power while doing it. I wouldn't get the 660 either though, the 7870 is the same price and out performs the 660 by quite a bit. So where the 660 may be higher in some games depending on the level, 7870 would probably be holding a better average FPS compared to the 660.
That's interesting. I have a GTX 560 Ti and it doesn't give the same performance as in these benchmarks at all. [editline]27th December 2012[/editline] It may be because of my cpu though.
That is a possibility.

What's your power supply?
