Read title.
Running, you exert FAR more energy than sitting down and cycling. The impact from the running as well will strengthen your knee caps and other bones etc.

Probably is.

hmm, im not fat, but i am on ODP for soccer (Olympic Development Program) (and no, not for spec eds, i wouldn't use the internet if i was spec ed.) But i think Running is better, because more leg movment, you lift your wieght and use alot of energy, and with biking, you dont need to lift your own wieght with your legs, and you dont use a lot of energy, unless you go long distance or speed.
Burn it with fire.
Here's the trouble. I can run for 20 minutes covering about a mile and a half no problem. Well, almost no problem. I was born flat-footed and the problem was never corrected. The result is that my feet hurt like a motherfucker when I run. The reason I want to lose weight is to become lean enough for my abs to start showing (I've been working them out, but I need to lower my body fat percentage some more) I'll run if I have to. I did it joining the Reserves. Still, I'd prefer to bike if that's better. Also, I want to work my quads and I hear biking is a good way to do it.
Running, go and enjoy a run on a nice summer day.
If you can, weightlifting is a great way to lose weight/convert it into muscle too. Lots of core strength workouts will get your abdominal muscles showing, and anything upper body converts those man boobs into bulging pectorals.
running, you use more of your body

[editline]11:21PM[/editline] You use every muscle in your body when you swim
I wish the answer was cycling... I sometimes go 4 miles every day for a week. Jogging however I do a lot less of.
Running up stairs is better than both combined.
Running up stairs is better than both combined.
This. If you can find a place that has two sets of stairs on two different sides, jump up one set to the top, jog over to the other, run down the stairs, then run back across to the other set of stairs and jump back up each step. Amazing workout.
if u have a dog i think u could play with him after the run. it lifts the energy loss. and maybe take the dog on a nice little jogging trip, since dogs love to have walks and run.

Lifting weights alone is not a good way to burn fat.
definitely running. I've been riding for a year and a half, sure I can ride for 80 km no worries and sprint close to 60 km/h... but I can't run for more than 400 metres. No cardiovascular endurance.
Swimming is fine too.
Running. Swimming is the best, just as roflcakes suggests.

RUN, or do different exercises.
Shadow Boxing. Much more effective at burning fat/calories than than running. It uses the full upper body, and if you do the foot routines then you also get a good leg workout.
do a barrel roll!
And you're being all hateful
I love you.
