Man. I remember when I set it up. It told me you only need to do it once a week. But there were so many times where it asked me multiple times per week.
I understand why authenticators exist but god damn they feel so intrusive. Pretty sure at one point I had to use mine three times in a single day. Can't help but feel like Blizzard's led the way for Steam's, because that thing is even worse.

I find them extremely unintrusive, both steam a battle.net. I've set steam to autologin when I launch it so it requires the code only if I login from a different computer, and I dont even have to unlock the phone, it shows the code on the notification on the lockscreen.
And the new battle.net one is great, you can approve it with a quick button from the notification again.
At least on Android, don't know if the notifications work differently on iPhone.

Microsoft send a notification
on most ROMs with decent notifications, it has approve/deny buttons on it
pushbullet also has these buttons mirrored to desktop if people use that
pretty handy
