How does my I-Pod give me a Malware virus, causing me to wipe out my computer?

Ok, so the other day, my computer shit itself, got Malware, and I had to wipe the computer's memory out and start from scratch. Anyway, it's fine now, (after re-installing everything) and it is because my I-Pod was plugged into the computer. How is this possible, does my ipod have a virus or something??
It probably wasn't your iPod.
My computer gave me a message saying it was something with the storage device, and the only thing plugged into my computer the day before was my I-Pod.
Apple is obviously installing malware on iPods to infect Windows machines.
Did you have a flash drive plugged in at the same time?
Autorun virus on your iPod :black101:

Maybe the virus just decided to infect some files on your ipod.

Yup, it happened

PROTIP: It's not I-Pod, its iPod, and it always will be.
Could it be a corupt music file, or is that not possible?
do you store other things besides music on your ipod? Like maybe games or downloaded stuff?

It's called secondary memory. Includes hard drives, floppies, CD/DVDs, memory cards etc.
Go home.

I had Tetris and some videos on there, but i've had those for awhile and no problems previous times.
Did you jailbreak your iPod and then allow software not listed on the jailbreak app browser?
Also: probably not your ipod.

Your problem is assuming this message was correct.

Easily, one of your songs was a virus. should of been detained by iTunes >.>

What? Detained?
The song wasn't the problem. the player was.
I think it was itunes.
Did your anti-virus state that there was malware on your computer? Did you experience issues after it stated that?
If it was the heuristic that told you this you're a dumbass for reformatting, especially if no problems occurred after it told you.

It did. My desktop went black, a random security software installed on my computer claiming I had 20 trojans and worms (which I didn't) and it turned out to be malware. If I exited the program, or scanned with my normal Anti-Virus software, it could restart the computer.
That's really odd. Whenever I was patching System Shock 2 with SHTUP, my anti-virus went batshit telling me the heuristic discovered a "malicious looking code that might contain malware." I turned off the heuristic. There really needs to be an option on anti-virus software that says "fuck you and your heuristic." Stated exactly like that.
safe mode and virus scan
Malware can infect ipods. My friend had to format his ipod after I gave him a virus on a CD. :v:

You're a dick.
iPods are made by Apple so they are 100% virus proof... !
Did you plug the iPod into another PC at a friend's house or school? Could have gotten a virus from a number of places.

I hope you're joking.
