It honestly still is great regardless of the issues but I hear the cooling is somewhat inadequate. The obsession with thin doesn't need to extend to desktop replacements, I wish laptop manufacturers understood that I care way more about reliability and quality than shaving half an inch off

Yeah my friend has the slim model with the 970 and it gets loud when it's hot. I have a G752 (thicc) and it stays pretty quiet
