Me and my brother are planning to take apart a broken wii, its beneficial to me because i get to learn technology. We need some suggestions on what to do with everything afterwards. Will post pictures of every step.
Maybe i can make a gamecube to USB adapter from it :v:

Ill be gone for about 30 minutes, i need some food.
Send it to me.
How broken is it?
Find out the problem, and try to repair it?
That'll be beneficial.
Taking apart a Wii won't really teach you about how hardware works, it's like staring at a motherboard and guessing what each bit does.

The dvd laser probably went out. You can buy another one for $10.

The problem is more like this: Disc goes in, doesn't come out.
Put the shit back together and install geexbox on it, there you go - free media center.

Well, we still got it, we just have half the casing off V:v:V
Well, then put the casing on again, make it useful instead of breaking it.

We took out the disc drive, are we able to install Geebox on it thru a flashdrive?
You need a MicroSD card. 1GB is recommended.
