I'm planning on buying a new computer soon and I've just found my motherboard on a website called pricelover.com & I'm just unsure if it's trustable.
If you guys could link me to the sites you trust?
I'm likely to buy from ebuyer.com if I dont find what I want for any cheaper.
I'm buying:
asus crosshair formula IV. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/206344
amd phenom x6 (1055T). http://www.ebuyer.com/product/204939
and from aria.co.uk i'm going to buy:
g skill trident 4GB set of 1600 mhz ram. http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Memory/DDR3/DDR3+1600+%28PC3-12800%29/G.Skill+Trident+4GB+%282x2GB%29+DDR3+PC3-12800C8+1600MHz+Dual+Channel+Kit+?productId=40014
If you guys can find them on trustable sites for cheaper I would like to know. Thank you :)
Also does anyone have any idea on heatsinks?
Not too sure what to go for.
I was thinking about the coolermaster v8, but i dont know a lot about coolers.
If any one knows any better am3 coolers could you tell me about them. I have a £40-£50 budget for them
Ebuyers the cheapest trusted site I know, if you try to go any cheaper you will likely be fucked over sideways if something breaks.
SCAN, Novatech, YOYOtech. SCAN is my personal preference, you wont find anywhere with better customer service.
Ebuyer and Dabs have low prices, Scan has the best customer service, stay away from Overclockers unless they're the only place stocking an item.

Tekheads can also have some good deals from time to time. (I got my 9800GX2 there when it was released for £150 under RRP).
stay away from Overclockers
Also this.
As said above, I prefer SCAN as whenever I've had an issue with my purchase I've always felt well treated by their customer service team. I've also never had any problems with ebuyer and they're usually cheap as chips.
Overclockers on the other hand are somewhere I would never recommend, I purchased a motherboard and when I opened it I found it was basically a refurb job (this wasn't one of their B grade items either), so I requested a replacement only to have customer services talk to me as if I was an idiot. It took multiple phone calls and threats of credit card chargebacks before they eventually replaced it. All this was after I'd heard other horror stories from there and put them down to exaggeration. To top it off their prices are usually that much more expensive anyway. Avoid.
Okay, stay away from overclockers.
Thanks for these sites guys.
I've found some things cheaper. :D
Keep them coming if there are any more fp (:
overclockers are usually worth checking to see if they have any sales on what you're looking for
I managed to score a G5 for less than an MX518
i prefer scan these days. Dunno why
Ebuyer are sometimes cheaper than Scan.
I personally use Novatech as I live 30 Mins away from a store and they have great service and low prices.
Fair enough.

Mainly use Overclockers myself - great site and service.
Otherwise Aria, Dabs or Eclipse Computers.
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177411
Oh, I should have mentioned. I want air cooling.
I don't like the look of the H50 & similar semi watercooling things.
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177411
why does everyone keep recommending this, it's not that great and it's expensive
why does everyone keep recommending this, it's not that great and it's expensive
Because I want one. :o
Overclockers are so unreliable
What do people think of this website ? http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/
No go to Scan.
Or Dabs Novatech or Ebuyer
I switch between Scan and eBuyer, and sometimes dabble with Overclockers, but mainly the first 2.
Regarding coolers, if the NH-U12P from Noctua is still in production, I'd recommend that, it's £60 last I remember.

The colours are just so ugly though.

This but not overclockers.
They suck.
I HATE Overclockers
The colours are just so ugly though.
That doesn't matter, Noctua are some of the best out there.
Yeh but they be fugly
i prefer scan because the store is just around the corner :3:
I find scan easier to deal with too, especially since i have an account

You are the worst poster in HW&SW.
You are the worst poster in HW&SW.
It was a joke. Looks dont matter, especially for heatsinks.
Plus i'm guessing that he doesnt have a side window.
Noctua are some of the best Heatsinks around, get one.
