• Overheating ATI Radeon HD 4670

For some reason, my card overheats all the time. Right now its running idle at 55ºC and I can't play TF2 for more than 5 minutes without my computer turning off. I've reapplied thermal paste 2 times already and each time it works nicely for a month or so, but then it randomly comes back to this point. This is what the fan speed defaults to on start-up: I'm considering buying an extra PCI slot fan for it, but I don't know how much it'll help. Anyone have any suggestions? Edit: Also, this is a picture I found of the box:
-How hot does it get? -Did you reinstal drivers? -Clean out the dust? -Use better thermal paste? -Crappy airflow around your case? -Why am i talking like this?

-Some GPU's have multiple chips that need cooling and thermal paste. Make sure you apply it to all of them. -Also try to run it with the side of your case off and a table fan on it. (see if its the airflow) -And manually set the fanspeed to 70% from the start and see if that fixes annything.

[editline]06:53PM[/editline] Ok, a bit of a preview of how bad it is, I played Minecraft for a half-hour and it got to 105ºC.

Download Catalyst control centre from the ATI site. Fan control is under the performance tab.
