In my down time I like to make builds on newegg, from the cheapest possible to the most expensive unlogical creation ever prospected on the planet. Now I ask of you facepunchers, post your most illogical, or just fucked build ideas. Here's one of mine. Every now and then I make an all out awesome build on newegg I wish I had. :frown:
Every now and then I make an all out awesome build on newegg I wish I had. :frown:
That's why I do really stupid ones. Don't aim for a sub $1000 (unless you wanna see the cheapest you can build, which I've gotten to around $340 without an OS) always try and break $10k, make it fuckin ridiculous.
I can't it makes me depressed.
I can't it makes me depressed.
Stop being depressed, start being awesome.
I'm already awesome I makes me feel a lot less awesome if I do that. [editline]03:32AM[/editline] Also I don't have a car much less a 22 tho pc.

Your build would be somewhat practical if you didn't raid 3k SSds
Your build would be somewhat practical if you didn't raid 3k SSds
Fuck practicality
I do this alllll the time. It is so fun :D I just feel jealous because I have no money to spend on computer parts.. :(
If you took away the many SSD's, I could've bought your build. But I didn't, I spent it on a kick-ass surround sound stereo instead. :smug:

Few years ago I threw together a system with 3 8800 Ultras, a core 2 extreme, massive RAID array, and 4 GB RAM, it ended up totaling around $20,000. it made me sad
Only 4GB?
You generally don't need more.
You generally don't need more.
Did you not read the rest of his post?
Only 4GB?
it was a big raid array. and this was like 2007 4 GB was holy shit [editline]03:49AM[/editline]
Wouldn't that only cost $1800 now?
The core 2 extreme is still stupid expensive, probably a little more.
If anyone here has heard of or seen/read the PCPowerplay Magazines, they have a section where they have different computer systems going from cheap to expensive. cheapest goes for just under 1000 dollars and the most expensive can range up to 30 thousand dollars.
Would anything fit in that case? Micro ATX is bigger than a mini ITX no?
Would anything fit in that case? Micro ATX is bigger than a mini ITX no?
I had a 8600GT in a Micro ATX mid tower for the longest time, but it's in a rackmount case now. It fit pretty comfortably, but then again the 8600GT is a relatively small card (compared to the current monsters like the 5970 or GTX480).
get a Q8400 with 3-way GTX 480 SLI or i7 980X with GeForce 9400 GT

We're pretty much brothers!! The OP has a micro ATX board in his build with a mini ITX case I'm asking if the motherboard would even fit in that case.
The motherboard might fit, but not comfortably.
I fucking hate your avatar.
I'm getting tired of it too, I'm going to change it back to the cat
