In all fairness though, they are just option skins.
However, there's no reason why skins should cost $4.99 or $6.99.
If not free they should only be .99
The DLC controversy is exactly why I refuse to touch this game with a 100 ft pole.
"Accomodated for DLC" to me means "massive money sink." Rather than sink money into shit I probably should have gotten with the retail purchase, I'd rather invest in a new console or PC with that money. Or at least other games that aren't trying to rip me off.

4 'new' hunters is hardly just a skin. Plus there are two more hunters you can only get for the Monster Edition, which also comes with another monster. And the only way to get the fourth moster was to pre-order the game.
To get all the monsters and hunters you had to drop €80, and you still don't get everything.
As much as I would like to play this game I refuse to give them more than $60 for things that should have been included in the game in the first place.
Micro transaction on skins, is OK providing it's around the 99p mark. Anything else gets a big fuck off from me. I'm glad Evolve never peaked my interest otherwise this would piss me off a lot more.
Man, the game has barely any content to justify $60 in the first place, why are they flagrantly shooting themselves in the foot like this? I can understand a big franchise like CoD but a brand fucking new IP with no singleplayer campaign to boot? The fuck are they thinking?

Yeah I bet that's really gonna work out for them.
I think I'd rather wait for a Complete Edition and forget about it halfway through the waiting.

Its a fucking $60 game that runs off simple multiplayer servers dealing with half the shit of something like L4D2 (which OOZES with free modded skins/models/etc), which is already not exactly the most taxing game on earth to have on a server seeing as you really only need to worry about 2-8 players at a time (and yes the AI too).
It should be free.
I garuntee this game would have sold 4X as much and the Evolve thread would be blowing up with people playing it if it released for half the price and none of this DLC bullshit. Meanwhile its release week and the only thing people seem to care about the game is how much money it is, with hardly anyone in comparison actually playing it. There are more people involved in the Warframe thread than there are the Evolve thread, which is mindblowing for a "AAA" game on release week. What a shame, since the gameplay itself looks pretty neat and plays decent too.
But too bad they decided to go with the Titanfall 2.0 approach, which was a game last year that was largely forgotten outside of its release window for the same exact reasons that this one will be (lackluster content for the price you pay, paygates behind DLC that added soreley needed content, etc). Hell they even have an insane 30GB install because the developers were too fucking lazy to compress their sound files just like Titanfall. And its even worse because RIGHT out of the gate there are huge paywalls everywhere. At least Titanfall had the decency to let you decide for a month or two if you are gonna regret spending $60 for a lightweight multiplayer only shooter with a decent idea but a lack of content before releasing paid content.
They also have a mobile app that is literally Candy Crush with In-App purchases.
You can buy 50 dollars worth of in app purchases.

The only thing you bought in titanfall were maps. What are you talking about? They added many things for free such as horde mode, game modes, challenges, titan os's, and a black market system.
I was kinda interested in the game back before a whole lot was known and I really wanted to like the game, but the initial pricetag + these kind of business practices really put me off of it.
