• I REALLY Need Help With Steam

So, a little while ago steam was updated for the first time in ages. It starts downloading, gets to about 30% and cuts off. It start again, same thing. It tries one more time, and sometimes gets to about 70%, then says this: I have seen this message so many times It's been burned into my mind. I've tried everything. Deleting ClientRegistry.blob did nothing. Googling did nothing. I think it's my router, it's a DrayTek Vigor 2820. The problem only arose when we got this router. Thing is, I have no idea what this [img_thumb]http://i34.tinypic.com/rti2d4.jpg[/img_thumb] is all about. I think the router shares bandwidth between the whole holiday park (my dad runs a caravan park that supplies free wifi) and that has been known to cause problems with steam downloads. If anyone is familiar with this, please help me, I can't miss the L4D2 demo.
I'mma go rate myself a book.
Try deleting clientregistry.blob in the steam folder.
Avatar fits. As for op, disconnect from the internet, wait a second or two, reconnect, retry? Hell, if all else fails reinstalling is an option too, but let's not let it come to that.
Hell, if all else fails reinstalling is an option too
Isn't that taking a step back? [editline]06:13PM[/editline] I tried anyway. Right back where I started.
Disconnect the router and connect straight to the modem. Try and update steam, then put the router back the way it was.

I went to my dad's office and plugged in there. Updated steam, pre-loaded L4D2, relatively happy. The problem still exists though.
