• Recurring Trojan/Malware issue

Bitcoin and Torrent related apps keep seeming to show up on my PC. Occasionally, a popup will appear attempting to start a .torrent file, which I haven't downloaded. Usually something like Minecraft or whatever. Through the use of Malware anti-bytes I managed to trace it back to c:\Users\Me\Username\Local\Temp, and there are a bunch of files with a string of numbers for a name. When I check out the properties of the files, they have 'Original Name' as Force_Seed.exe It seems that my PC is somehow being highjacked in order to mine some sweet Bitcoinz or seed some torrents for god knows who. Now the solution would apparently be to just let Malware Anti-Bytes remove it, which I have tried before. However, it keeps finding its way back onto my computer after removal, usually in the space of a few days and I don't have a habit of downloading anything particularly unsafe. Often this stuff shows up without me having downloaded anything. It's been a while since I checked out the effectiveness of Windows Firewall, but should I be trying another firewall solution, or would this even solve the problem? I am using Windows 7 64 bit, and the install is a few months old.
You should disconnect from the internet, do a scan and let it remove anything, then check your startup programs in msconfig and any processes running in the background. Windows Firewall does the job, the main importance is a good anti virus, I use avast, works well and has some nifty features. Also ensure you have the latest Windows updates, security updates will close security holes that will let viruses back in
Also a little tip to make sure you don't accidentally click on something wrongfully is to use Web of Trust.
It really sounds like you have been ratted or infected with some other malware. I would reinstall Windows, especially if the files come back after a few days.

Be careful what you delete with it though, some viruses can actually replace drivers with infected versions and taking them out will probably stop the PC from booting.
from what i can read, it has probably hijacked your msconfig and is setting itself to run on boot. so, i need you to go search in your taskbar (on win7, idk how it works on 8) and type in "msconfig" and push enter (no quotes). Click startup, and screencap the window, and after that, go to services and tick "hide microsoft services" and take a screencap of it for me
if it doesnt appear in msconfig, you can always use Autoruns Be VERY careful with this tool, if you have a friend who knows computers well, consult with them before you start disabling things you think look wrong. This tool can cause windows to refuse to boot. Its basically a well refined version of msconfig.
