This is fucking insane, I don't even know what could be causing this.
I was playing gmod as usual when, without warning, my screen turns blue with white text - oh god, a BSOD. Something about a pool I dunno. I shrug it off and restart. YES WINDOWS I WANT TO START YOU NORMALLY but lo and behold it gets just past the loading bar, flashes the bluescreen for about half a second, and reboots.
I panic and safemode it. I get about 5 minutes in to trying to figure out what the hell my computer is smoking to be greeted once again with a bluescreen. This carries on with varying errors.
Eventually it got to the point where certain tasks just didn't work on startup; explorer.exe has stopped working, taskmanager.exe has stopped working, etc. I kept rebooting, unwilling to let my computer die because it's, well, my fucking computer, and eventually got Safe Mode with Networking to function almost how it should. System restore functionality is offline and I'm afraid to touch anything else for fear of bluescreening again when I could be getting support from somewhere that may just know what they're doing.
I'll try to answer any questions as quickly as I can, I probably left out a bunch of information because I'm panicking right now. D: HELP
Uh, sounds like Windows is fucked, you probably got a virus. Have you got a Windows CD?
Aw, piss. I don't know if it's a virus or not because everything, at least in safemode, seems to be going smoothly again. I'm scared shitless to push my luck and try to launch it normally though for fear of it starting to fail some more.
I haven't downloaded much recently or visited any webpages beyond the ones that I normally do, and the recently downloaded files have all been scanned and are clean. I don't want to reformat... :C
The only one I happen to have lying around is a Vista Home Basic CD that was used for my brother's computer. Not sure what happened to the Ultimate disc.
What's the BSOD error?

I tried to restart.
I ended up having to try three times, the first two times giving me bluescreens. The errors were BAD_PAGE_HEADER and MEMORY_MANAGEMENT respectively, and I believe that's traceable to my RAM dying again, as I also get bluescreens with those errors when trying to perform actions that require a lot of CPU power.
I hope this is the problem.
Ah, you need to run a memory test then.
Ram
:x Actually, when I play TF2 and I get a domination or get revenge, it sometimes freezes up and sometimes goes "Blue-Screen-Of-Death" on me so I have to hold down the power button and restart the computer. If it tries to initiate Physical Memory dump then me and you have a similar problem although I have a 3GB RAM which should be adequate (to my knowledge)
