The whole habbo thing is blown out of proportion. Give people a chat environment and what happened will happen anywhere.
The pool is gonna be open? Maybe the found a cure to AIDs
From someone who played Habbo for four years I can say it has gone to shit way before all this happened. It used to be my favourite game and I'm happy I did join because I met my best friend to this day there but I don't think I could play it any more. It's about time anyway. When you enter a room or open a chat box it reassures you that for your safety your chat is monitored.
"The teens and young people who inhabit our site have spoken in a mature, united and compelling voice. They have articulated the practical and personal benefits of a virtual community for a demographic full of young people still discovering themselves and their place in the real world."
And then we realize that the people who submitted all that were all pedophiles pretending to be kids. I wonder why 4chan hasn't jumped on to this though? It has seemed like a perfect situation that they would surely find compelling enough to mess up?
