Does anyone know of a linux desktop distro that can be run on any computer?
And by any computer, i mean a really old one that can hardly do anything.
And, of course, it needs to fit on a CD.
Thanks,
(And yes, "Any" is misspelled, however the go advanced button seems to not work.)
(Also, the questions megathread just got bumped 5s after i asked this -.-)

I'd recommend trying them out in a virtual machine first, unless you have lots of spare cd's

Seriously, if the PC can boot via USB, there's no need to waste a disc.

Do 'ancient' computers support booting from USB? Or a better quesion, when did they start doing so?

The key word in my quote above was "if".
I'm pretty sure DamnSmallLinux has been obsoleted. Use TinyCore. VERY lightweight (About 12mb RAM for the whole desktop).
