Today I purchased two 570 gtx's but still want to get some use out of my 480 gtx. can I make it an physx dedicated card? if so can someone write a lil tutorial on the steps I should take?
Now you've got 2 graphics cards in and you want to add another just for physx?
1) Does your motherboard even have enough slots?
2) Performance gain will be insignificant, while your power usage will go up.
Quite honestly, I don't think you should bother. Either sell of the old one or have it as backup.

This. If you're really amendment on getting this working but don't have enough slots or enough power for your 480, then on some games you can just simply disable SLI mode and set the other 570 for Physx. In some cases this gives out the best performance, especially since you're already running on a 570. A good example of this I know of Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Other than that I don't think you should be bothered about it.
two 570s.
And you want more!
PhysX is a gimmick and nowhere near worth the extra power. Your SLi 570s will chew through PhysX fine.
This was easier done than expected, thanks for the help guys! Got it working and runs like a champ :)

How are your benchmarks now after using the physx?
