7:50 - 8:47 Oh god.
There's only two things that I didn't really like from what this demo showed us. 1. The watch. I know that it was mostly done to simplify the gas-mask mechanic (Hell, I've beaten the original 3 times and still don't know exactly how it works), but this new one just seems so... unfitting. 2. This was probably just for demo purposes, and I know it is nitpicking, but why was Artyom able to carry two rifles, and a shotgun? Either way, despite those two minor gripes, the game looks phenomenal. That airplane crash scene was actually pretty intense.
This looks insanely good
7:50 - 8:47 Oh god.
Fucking hell, I teared up there, that is the kind of shit that games need to have, that's the shit you won't forget.
It all felt very scripted and linear.
It all felt very scripted and linear.
Have you played the previous game?
The scene with the airplane falling down was really unsettling, and it's not easy to make me feel unsettled.
Shacknews says the release date is 2012 but I swear it got put back to 2013?
Have you played the previous game?
No.
Being scripted doesn't make a game bad. It's bad when a game boasts about an open world to explore on your own time while faking things for the trailers. There are plenty of linear great games; being linear acts as a great environment to tell a detailed story in.
It looks awesome, I still need to buy 2033 and play through it though.
Shacknews says the release date is 2012 but I swear it got put back to 2013?
It is most deffo 2013. The news of the delay came a week before practically everyone said "THQ are gonna die and stuff."
I just hope we get Russian audio this time as well. I can't stand that horrible accent. Plus the guy voicing over the Dark ones is a million times more badass. [editline]18th July 2012[/editline] Also, is that played on a console or on a PC with a controller? The way the camera moves is definitely as if a controller was used, but the graphics seem far too good.
Its really this and COH2 that look to be the saving graces for THQ.

They're so much better than english dubs.

They show off the PC version with the epic graphics but they play it with a controller to mislead people.
Some people call them Demons, I call them bitches.
That part where the beast jumped on him at the bottom of the escalators was that type of scripted sequence that I don't like. You can clearly see that he put more than enough pellets into the thing to kill it.
I loved the little details like how you have to wipe your gas mask visor clean if shit gets on it, and the lighting... goddamn.
I hope they put subtitles for the bystander conversations this time, playing it with Russian audio was amazing, but I couldn't understand any of the stuff the people at the stations were saying cause there were only subtitles for the "main" conversations.
No.
Rated heart out of pity.
