I just barely have enough money for a 8GB iPod Touch. Should I get an 8GB or gather more money and get a 32GB?
I am planning on having many apps and my music right now is crammed into a 2GB Zen V Plus.
32GB if you don't need it and have time to save up, 8GB if you need it now.
Well, I am planning on getting it for fun mostly.

And to upgrade from my 2GB
Wait and get a 32GB. If you get the 8gb you will always think about the 32gb model. Get what you want, not what you can get.
If you plan on having many apps and you want to put your music on it, go with 32GB. When the iPod Touch first came out I got an 8GB then it turned out to be not enough storage. Recently I got the iPod Touch 3G 32GB and it's awesome. It's also comes with the microphone with excellent quality. I'm not even close to filling up 32GB which is a very nice feeling.

This all the way. Usually spending more rather than buying cheap will get you something better. Especially in electronics. (Except for iPad, you expensive giant iPod Touch.
You don't need it now. You can wait. The 32 is a much better investment. Not only does it have a larger capacity, but it also has better hardware. The third gen 8GB iPod touch is actually not a third gen at all, but a re-branded second gen, considerably slower than the new model. The only iPods which received the hardware upgrade from the iPhone 3GS were the 32GB and 64GB third gens. The 8GB was left out so that the entry-level model could be as cheap as possible.
However, if you do get the 8GB anyway, iTunes now has an option where it automatically converts your music to 128kbps AAC, dramatically reducing the space it takes, at no noticeable drop in quality. I have 3236 songs on my 16GB iPod touch, with about 1GB of free space and probably around 1GB of apps, so yeah, it gives you a lot more room to work with. But, imagine what that could do if you had a 32GB model.
dude just get 8gb. i doubt you will have enough music and apps to fill up 32gb unless you buy a bunch of apps but personally i dont think the apps are that great.
if you plan on watching a bunch of movies you should still get the 8gb because eventually your battery will drain and you wont be able to watch more than 1 movie anyway.

The 32GB and 64GB have a better battery. And a better everything else.
Also, if you don't think the apps are that great, you just haven't used any great apps, of which there are many.
i agree i havent used any great apps
32GB, the 8GB model is a repackaged 2nd gen

I would have to save for a few decades to actually get the car i want.
Optimize, the 8GB model is worth more to you now than the 32GB tomorrow.

Very true, I would far rather save up a little longer to get something nice, than get something insatisfactory and just have to 'deal with it' .
Wait for the iPod touch 4th Generation
One thing I always think about when purchasing anything is to buy based on product and content, not based on price.

No. :colbert:
Why should I wait for a camera and some other shit that I can get anywhere else?

Because it's all in an iPod. But we don't know what's in it yet, it could have a fucking machine gun built in for all I know. You should just wait until the news is released of what features the iPod touch 4G has and if you like it buy it but if you don't buy the 3G. It'll be cheaper, too.
anyone know of any good apps i got mine last week and I don't know any good apps.
Still not sure if I want to get a PSP instead...

I would go with the 32gb and wait a bit.
Better to have the storage and not need it than be cramped and craving storage.
If you plan on jailbreaking get the 32GB
Wait for the 4G, you will regret it if you buy one now.
wait until september for the 4G ipod touch
