I'm looking into cooling pads for my Macbook. I need one because mine overheats when I play TF2 for a long time. (Yeah I know, gaming on a Macbook hahahahahaha) It's the only thing I have to play my PC games since my rig fried a long time ago. Been mainly an Xbox player since then. But yeah my Macbook can handle TF2 (which is the only game I mainly play on Steam) on max settings so it shouldn't be a problem only if it didn't overheat after 1-2 hours of playing. I've never needed a laptop cooler before, so I don't know which ones are actually good.
TL;DR: Recommend me a cooling pad for a 17' laptop. Post some links. :>
I don't know about cooling pads (I don't use one myself, so I can't recommend), but I would also suggest using a [url=http://www.derman.com/MacBook-Pro-Fan-Control]fan control app[/url] to keep better control of the fans.
