It seems like everyday I've got like 10 invites to groups I don't give a shit about, and never heard of yet they members in the thousands. Why does steam allow this stuff, I think they should revoke mass invites like that or ban the account associated with it.
I'm assuming they haven't picked up on it. Kefferstoubechen or whatever that group is has over a million people and multiple invite bots. It's really stupid to be honest.
Set your motto to "I WON'T JOIN ANY GROUPS" or something of the like. That's what I did, and no one's bothered to invite me to anything since. Don't really know how it'd work against bots, but it still hasn't happened to me :v:

I highly doubt bots read that :v:
Most of the time they pick you up when you join one of their servers. It hasn't bothered me a lot. I may get one invite a month. But it's a bit dissapointing to see you got a new notification and then finding out its just an invite to a random group.
I don't think valve should care
It doesn't take much effort to click deny when you get the request
I believe if you say "ignore" to the group once, you won't ever get an invite to that group again.

It takes 3 clicks, do you know how much i can do with that ? i can go to GGD from here, so that's like... a lot.
You're not supposed to abuse the group system with dumb bots in the first place, if they care about keeping the community clean, they should implement some kind of invite ban and slap it all over those fuckers.

1. I didn't say how many clicks
2. It takes 2 if you have your friends window open
3. Groups with a ton of members aren't going to make the community any worse

I said bots, bots are not supposed to exist, they drag the service down and are generally annoying.

Because they don't exist by the thousands, yet. Either way, they should start cutting down on those, if they don't do that already.
Is it possible to let only groups invited by friends to appear?
