The Gnomecopter is just a crappy teleport animation. Sad thing about these trailers is they make Runescape look more exciting than it really is.

I still log into Runescape every day for 1 hour or so. Currently trying to complete every single thing you can do with a free account.
However now i am stuck at grinding which goes on fooorrreeeevveeeerrrrrrr. The only reason i started to level in Magic was because i would have to walk less.

Yes, instead of jumping from the porch to swing your sword, you would have to walk downstairs... open the door.... walk to the monster... then die in one hit.
Runescape is so dull but sucks you into wasting 100s if not thousands of hours if you're not careful.

I haven't seen an MMO trailer without over exaggerated gameplay.
Hell, almost all trailers to EVERYTHING look far more action packed than the actual thing.
This is not unusual in any way.

I'm glad that a big game like this is switching to HTML5 and (presumably) WebGL. Gives it all the more credibility, helps us move away from Flash a bit.

Well now there are runescape 2007 servers, but you need to be member on normal runescape to access them.

I miss tutorial island. That was a good intro to the basics of the game. Now you just learn how to pick some shit up and give it to an NPC in a little prologue to the game.
Tutorial Island: How to fish, cook, farm, combine, mine, smelt, craft, fight. Everything you need to know on your quest.
New Tutorial: How to pick up some loot and hand it to someone much stronger than you.
I actually like the things you can do with skills (construction etc) but the combat system is just too old and boring now.

That is what i mainly do now, building my house and maintaining a port.
Its quite fun, now even more fun since a friend joined the fun who is starting all over again so i kinda help him with everything.
I hope they change the combat this time around, and leave dungeoneering in.

I remember I used to play this back in like 2004-2005 or something. Credit where credit's due, they've been good at keeping the game up-to-date and adding new content etc.

Bandwagon and being stuck in the past, i hated RS as well just like the rest because of grinding and being boring but once i started playing i was hooked again.
