My steam always goes out. and my ping ingame is sky high. but if i play a non steam game like cod4 my ping is around 50. but when i play tf2 on steam its around 600. what would be causing this? and is there any fix's?
Don't connect to far-away servers. The further you are from the server, the longer it takes for Packets to arrive.

ive tryed that. i set the servers to us-east and found the lowest ping server it was 120. when i tryed it. it spiked to 400 and stayed steady at 400. not even an hour ago i was playing with 50 ping. this has been happening alot lately
