Issue between the developer and the publisher. This is the only way the game could keep being developed at all, otherwise it'd be done and over.
I liked SpinTires, so if that's what's going on, I might go ahead and buy it. SpinTires owners get a big loyalty discount so what the hell.

mud runner builds on top of an updated version of their engine, and has re-worked maps with new features and updated simulation physics.
there's a lot of good information in their discord
I looked into it now and it definitely makes sense. Seems like Pavel got the game away from Oovee and signed with a better publisher, which is good. I will buy this to support Pavel.
