• First PC Build

Well after 3 years of using crappy prebuilts, I've decided to build my very own gaming PC. I don't have any experience building PCs, and my friend who built his hasn't kept up with the technology, which is why I'm posting here for help. My budget right now $600 CAD, and although I could go a bit over that price if I need to, I still would Like to keep it under $600.

That is from newegg.ca That would play most games quite well assuming you already have a monitor, and a CD/DVD drive you can take out of your prebuilt. You might be able to get the hard drive too, but you cant beat that seagate for only 44$
No

This is my current computer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01154945
Sbradford knows best
Wait so the list of parts you posted is no good? Because I gave the list to my friend who's helping me, and he didn't really mention anything. Then again I'm more inclined to believe people here than him, since you guys have more experience.

I thought I'd save more money by keeping not getting a new HDD and DVD Drive. Or am I just being stupid and the parts you listed better?
Wait I thought on Newegg.ca the prices were in CAD?
Wait I thought on Newegg.ca the prices were in CAD?
As did I, however apparently newegg is... retarded and prices it in USD anyway? Wow
Err no sorry newegg.ca is in CAD. I was referring to another build in another thread which used newegg.com which is in USD. I was saying that in CAD it came out to be only 23 dollars more expensive than the build that Dysplasia posted. Sorry about the confusion.
