Hey guys, i need someone to suggest me a video card. My budget is around £100. I have a nForce 680i Sli motherboard so i figured it would be best to go with nvidia card, however i was looking through few websites and i noticed that on the same price range ATI are way out performing nVidia. Im located in UK. I have a 500 Watt power supply, E7200 cpu and 2GB corsair ballistix ram. The reason i want a new one is because i cant run games like GTA 4 and BC2 with nice resolution and settings without fps going to like 10.

Ati HD 5570
its what i use it runs bc2 on 1920 x 1200 on max settings
If you can, push your budget a little more for a 5770. But if you're stuck at that amount then go with ghostofme's choice of a 5750.
What card have you got now?

Well you if you don't have vsync on and anti aliasing on max.
Btw the HD 5770 is a good card not a bad one, its price is allright and the performance is nice its quiet and doesn't use so much energy.
and @ the other guys who just randomly post stuff, I'm trying to help him.
That 5750 looks like the best choice for me so far. I dont have too much money laying about at the moment to go for 5770. Im hoping there wont be no issues with ATI card and nvidia motherboard though.

ordered this one, seems like it was only a typo on the website which was now corrected as it now is 512mb not 1gb.

No, even though you have AA or Vsync off, you cannot run it on max with a 5570, especially at 1920x1200.
Anyways, go for a 5770 if you can. With my 5770, I get around 35-45 fps in BC2, at 1280x1024, all max except AA. (HBAO is on)
A card I was going to get is connected by a PCI-E 16X. What does the 16X bit mean?
