Oh good. I've been meaning to get this game at some point (I heard WAY too much about this game and it really piqued my interests), and, at the end of the month, I should be able to.
I haven't progressed past the Bloody Baron part of the main quest. I wonder if I should just start a new playthrough when this comes out.
My only problem with the game is that magic feels underpowered. This is probably because if you set someone on fire, hitting them with a sword puts them out.

Magic is useful, but it's more of an accessory to help fuck the enemy up more with your swords.

Witcher signs are supposed to be mere parlor tricks compared to real magic in the lore.
I haven't progressed past the Bloody Baron part of the main quest. I don't think it's worth it to start over, considering this is sort of just a bundle. You can just grab the DLC and be set.
My main issue with The Witcher 3 is that it constantly crashes to the desktop as soon as it starts up now. Even reinstalling the game didn't fix it. It used to randomly do it but eventually worked, but now it just flat out does. I loved the game when I got to play it.
that's pretty strange. witcher 3 is legit one of the few games i've ever had that didn't crash on me
I've had it crash a lot of me before it just flat out crashed on startup but I tolerated it because I liked the game. Some of the crashes weren't even "Witcher.exe has stopped responding" crashed, the game just simply closed as if someone alt-F4'd it. I used GOG Galaxy to install it and keep it up to date. No idea if that could be part of the problem. But it is just odd that it would work and then after coming back from not playing it just stopped working.
do you have any mods installed?
do you have any mods installed?
Nope.
I've been wanting to play this so bad, but I can't bring myself to play it without beating the first two games first. I bought the Witcher 1 years ago and the Swamp level killed it for me.

I would suggest trying to at least do it once if you like completing games, but if not just read up on the events that take place aftwards and start playing from Witcher 2(you can even find a save online to import for those little nods to actions taken in the first game).
