I just got a MacBook through a college deal. Attempting to log-in for the first time with my account presents me with this error message;

It's the first time attempting to log-in on a Mac. I have tried deleting ClientRegistry.blob, but nothing has happened. I'd love to start in online mode, but I have no apparent way of doing so. Help appreciated.
Re-install?
Check if you have a proper internet connection. If you're posting from your macbook, try going onto steampowered.com
By the way, does it ever make it to the login screen, or does it stop right as it's loading up?
I get to choose between 'Create account' and 'Login to an existing account'. Both brings me to that same error message.
Also, re-installing didn't work.
You need to delete the sourceinit osx.gcf file from your steamapps folder.
Only file in my SteamApps folder is 'SteamClean'
VALVe fixed it promptly. (Only me and one other person on the Steam forums had the issue that I could see, and they rolled out an update for all Steam MAC users.)
