So the question here is basically... do you like subtitles, or no subtitles, or dubbed?
I always prefer to watch movies with subtitles.
I'm Swedish, but I prefer to watch English movies with English subtitles.
When I watch Swedish movies, I prefer Swedish subtitles.
I'll watch foreign movies with either Swedish or English subtitles, does not matter which one.
I love them
I make love with them.
I like them. Lets say a character makes a hard to notice noise, such as s snicker, I usually won't pick it up. With subtitles it tells me there's a snicker.

I think things like mumbling, whispering, quickly spoken or said from another room and things like that are the kind of things subtitles makes it so I won't miss. With subtitles I'll rarely look at a seen and think "wait, what did he just say?".
Yes
I watch without subtitles if I know the language.
I watch every movie with subtitles on, mostly because you never know if it's going to be a quiet/loud quiet/loud scenario or if a character says something quiet/weirdly and you don't pick it up.
I'm Swedish and I prefer to watch english movies with english subtitles unless I'm watching with friends then we watch with swedish subtitles.
Not in movies. But in games I love them.
When watching swedish I don't have any subtitles.

Only in games, for movies it kind of ruins it for me.
I like watching anime with subtitles cause if you watch it dubbed, you're not doing it right and it makes you a lesser person.
English subtitles only
no other subtitles is allowed
I find subtitles to be distracting, so no.
In games or in movies that aren't in english, dubs kind of ruin everything.
I'm really proud of my country, where we're not too fond of dubbing things. I think it's a great attitude to let the original work in its original voice, and it also helps learning new languages.
In Spain, however, they dub everything. Those spaniards.
When it comes to subtitles, if it's in english, I don't care about the language of the subtitles as long as it's in a language with the latin alphabet. If I'm watching with others, I prefer if it's in Portuguese or English, though.
I'd rather use subtitles than listen to a horrible dub.
Since I'm partially deaf I'd say they're a god send.
I'm Finnish, I prefer English subtitles.
But if the movie/series has a lot of complicated and for example political terms in it, I stick with Finnish subtitles.
But if it's like Simpsons/SouthPark/Futurama etc cartoons, subtitles are not needed at all.
I like the subtitles. I've always used them. Picking up on things and also whenever I get too much background noise. (IE: Watching a movie or playing a game and the vacuum cleaner is turned on.)
And I fucking HATE it when a game doesn't have them. Like the first Assassin's Creed.
Can't watch a movie without 'em.
Subtitles are just awful. Anything that is colourful and keeps flashing up will completely distract me, and I find I end up reading the text more than I end up actually watching it.
As for dub... there's nothing more irritating than seeing a mouth moving but not matching what's being said.
As a Norwegian, I've lived with subtitles ever since I was a mere baby, just as most of my fellow non-native English speakers.
I usually watch movies with English subtitles, as the Norwegian ones are often wrongly translated, and it just feels weird to read at times. Though, this depends if I watch the movie by myself or with other people. But honestly, subtitles are in no way as annoying as, for example, Americans make them out to be. I constantly read "Will x be dubbed? Because I hate reading subtitles. Makes it really hard to pay attention to what's going on".
Well, I know a lot of people can agree on this: When you've been reading subtitles for a long time, you barely notice they are there. Heck, there's been times when I'm done watching a movie, then think "Wait, it had subtitles on?".
Never.
I love subtitles because there's always that one asshole in the movie who you can never understand.

I love subtitles.

Sometimes I love these, sometimes I hate these.
I FUCKING HATE IT when you go to a diner or some shit and they've got the TV in the corner but keep it muted with the Closed Captions on
Nah I hate Subtitles.
It's not that they're a bad idea it's that I can't concentrate on both them and the footage at the same time.
If it's a foreign language movie, then I'll watch with subtitles because 89% of the time the acting for the dubs suck. Otherwise I don't really need them.
