I'm done with my freetrack configuration but I want to have a higher viewing angle for my LEDs so I'm trying to cut pieces of perfboard out. What's the best way to cut it?
A small saw, such as one of these.

Or if your cheap like me.

Just cut it as you would anything else.
Why you even need a perfboard... Just glue them to the headset/cap depending on your setup...

Also you need to grind the head of LEDs for a wider angle.
I am but the perfboard blocks the base LED so I cut it for a better viewing angle. I'm also using the SFH485P IR LEDs and the viewing angle is already good enough.
Don't use the dremel, you will melt things and kick up fine particulate epoxy and copper into the air which isn't particularly good for your lungs or brain. Use a fine-tooth handsaw.

Repeating my question, why are you using perfboard.
It's a lot easier to just use wires and glue them to whatever you are sticking them into.

Yeah, seeing his soldering skills he's been huffin' up some big L enough for that to not matter.
Use a cutter first, go as deep as you can without breaking the blade. And then with a firm grip, break it with your hands.

Because I thought it would be an easier solution instead of having to find something that would support the 3 infrared LEDs.
Also i'm using this lead free solder but it seems like it's more dangerous then normal solder :tinfoil:.

You need to put the perfboard somewhere too...
