More shit.
It'll never catch on.
I ask the question, why not just use facebook ?
woah this is actually pretty neat. it's a lot more intuitive and shit than facebook...
snip
sweet installing now yeah :toot:
I'll try it out. Chances are it won't catch on or anything, but there's so much wrong with Facebook that a company like Google can fix.
Facebook was up for like four years before anyone even knew it existed, give it time. Maybe this time Google has it's shit together and might give Facebook some real competition.
Yeah but it was a local thing then. This is being started by a big company.
I was having a glance at the iterative tour, all these features sound awesome and by the looks of it it seems to run and feel alot better then Facebook, when you thing about it Facebook is kind of shit. I hope this gets popular
This will never work
Definitely going to give it a try when i can
It's going to be like Google Talk and Google Video. YouTube was just too good at the time for Google Video, and MSN/Skype/AOL were too mainstream for Google Talk.
I'm going to wait, if it becomes popular, I'll join.
It's Facebook, except with a far less shitty and convoluted user interface, it actually looks really nice, and I bet it will work well. If I can get a few friends on this, I'm taking down my FB account, I'm sick of it.
I don't want Google telling all my friends that I like to search for freaky shit in the privacy of my own home.
June 29th, 3:33 AM, Mike searched for "nasty brazillian sluts gobbling cock"
That will turn out well.
No matter how good it is facebook will be better until a lot of people start using this.
I'm gonna sign up now so i can be one of the first :D.
No matter how good it is facebook will be better until a lot of people start using this.
popular =/= better By that logic... Xbox Live > Steam which we all know is completely incorrect.
popular =/= better By that logic... Xbox Live > Steam which we all know is completely incorrect.
By that logic... steam(pi*3)^2 == xbox live
Circles. That's major thing missing from any social networking website. You don't have the same relationships with your school mates, your brother, your grandmother and some tool who added you 2 days ago because you gave him a stick of gum. Google does things properly.
I wish people would reevaluate Google Buzz. It's basically Facebook minus the apps, the ads, and the scams that people always fall for on Facebook.
I wish people would reevaluate Google Buzz. It's basically Facebook minus the apps, the ads, and the scams that people always fall for on Facebook.
You do realize that if people start using buzz there's going to be ads and scams there as well, right?
popular =/= better
Less popular =/= better either, neither one is always true, but I think in this case popularity matters a lot. What's the point of social networking if none of your friends have it?
Great, more bullshit fads.
Honestly Google might have a chance.
To everyone saying that this is going to fail, you obviously haven't watched the videos. Google+ offers a much more intuitive and simple UI and doesn't seem to have the same problems Facebook has, such as "Mike Hawk invited you to play super galaxian ninja martian vampire twilight bloodsuckers 5". The 'circles' are a great idea in my opinion, but I am unsure whether there will be status updates and how they will work.
Goddamnit. Why can't we just stick to facebook. [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] I actually like it
I got an invite, it's so much better than Facebook. This is an extremely interesting article on Google's plans for Google+. This is a massive project encompassing pretty much department Google has.
But the philosophy of the product, as Gundotra explained that day, has been unwavering. Emerald Sea(Google +) is not a Facebook killer, Gundotra told me. In fact, he added, somewhat puckishly, “people are barely tolerant of the Facebook they have,” citing a consumer satisfaction study that rated it barely higher than the IRS. Instead, he says, the transformation will offer people a better Google.
[editline]30th June 2011[/editline]
I don't want Google telling all my friends that I like to search for freaky shit in the privacy of my own home. That will turn out well.
yeah because that's TOTALLY how it's going to work [editline]30th June 2011[/editline]
Great, more bullshit fads.
lol are there still people who think social networking is a fad?
Just got in (thanks panthereye) and it's great. Now to convince everyone else...
