That's nice, at least. I like that they're trying to balance rifles more.
From the sound of it, it seems like the want to be like the Dota 2 Team, but they're just really not hitting that mark.
The changes were so bad and out of touch with CS:GO's design you really have to wonder what they were thinking in the first place.
Lol valve is always promising more communication lately and never delivers with any of their products.
The rifle mechanics are skillful
People who take the time to learn the patterns and practice can better control their rifles, and play better as a result. The patch punished practiced and advanced players and potentially anyone who picks up a rifle

They weren't, that's what.
They see how much money that CS:GO is raking in, how huge of a playerbase it has, and how absolutely massive its stranglehold on the competitive FPS industry is. Most, if not all, FPS games today take some lesson from the original Counter Strike. CS:GO is unique from other games in this regard as its metagame and strategy is solid and rarely, if at all, changes.
And then the CS:GO team decides to completely change the rifle+pistol meta and introduce a guaranteed 1 shot weapon.
It's like they just didn't pay attention at all.

Well they did give insight into their trade politics and started improving Steams support with the refund system. It's a step into the right direction in terms of communication compared to the years before.
