Is there such thing as one of these that converts a DVI\VGA cable into one of those cables that you would plug a game system in so you can use your computer on your TV?
My TV is old but I would like to use it as a monitor.
VGA to component

Composite is what I am looking for...
Any chance you can find one at a store like walmart\target\bestbuy?
(Not in a position to be ordering online...)

Would this be what I am looking for? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9875909
Ya, looks like it, but what kind of TV are you trying to hook it up to? Most flat panels, and some just newers ones have a VGA or DVI connection.

Yeah, that walmart one looks right but it will only give you picture, no audio.

I planned.
I got a nice set of speakers that will cover that.
Hopefully someone can bring me there over the week end

Can i convert my fingers into water?
yep with a microwave
yep with a microwave
Fuck yeah! you know everything
don't know what microwaves you've used but I've only seen the ones that heat things up, although one that changes molecules doesn't sound as efficient for that
Just put a few spoonfuls of iron filings into an industrial strength microwave, then insert fingers wrapped in aluminium foil.
Note it'll look like shit and run at about 320x240.
Note it'll look like shit and run at about 320x240.
Ehh its only 7 bucks so it will be worth it either way
It WILL look like shit, but I'm pretty sure it'll be more than 320x240.
[editline]09:54PM[/editline]
maybe 800x600

Even if you output to the TV with 1024x768, NTSC can only go up to 720x480, and even that is if it's non-interlaced. You'll most likely end up with quite a blurry image if you output at anything higher than what NTSC can handle. PAL would behave the same way, just in case you live in Europe.
Hmmm
*Googles TV model*
[editline]12:28AM[/editline]
Where can i find Info on my TV? Such as resolutions?
[editline]12:29AM[/editline]
I googled panasonic ct-32g13w resolution, But nothing useful came.
I have a DVI to HDMI cable that I use to run video to my TV. It looks very good on my HDTV. I think this is more what you're looking for. VGA is shitty and so is composite video. So don't use a VGA to Composite cable ever. DVI and HDMI are the shit, buy one of those cables.

ever consider it's not compatible with either of those? otherwise I'm sure he would just use them.

If the TV is not HD, it will have a standard NTSC resolution. It won't matter which TV you use, it will be the same resolution.

You know your finger is already 80% water :eng101:
Ive done it before, and it looks like crap, use HDMI if you absolutely must do it.
