I could've bought a 970 but the Russian economy shat itself and now it would cost me half of my life savings
I just got a 650 ti and it's the best card I've ever owned and I'm immensely happy

How does it handle games? I have a 560 Ti and it's at the point now where I can run stuff on medium.
If it handles so much overclocking why don't they just sell it with the clocks up higher?
Oh wait nvm, they're boasting a 250mhz core clock overclock lmao, and a ~350mhz mem overclock.
What a stupid article, it's a good card in its own right and overclocks decently, I dunno about the hype they're trying to give it though.
unity at 60 fps 1080 and 4x MSAA
fuck off with those lies
I'm loving my 750 TI.
Nvidia has been doing good lately.

I can run Smite and Fallout 3/NV on High, and I think that's a milestone for being able to run Unreal Engine/Garbage unoptimized Bethesda engine.
Keep in mind that may also be attributed to 8g ram, and 3.2 cpu
I bought the 980, I think I'm not good with money.
I'm going to pick one up, my 460 finally died last month and the 970 is out of my price range due to shitty pricing in NZ, same with AMD's offerings.
60 FPS at 1080p is "nothing" when 1440p and 4k monitors are already been sold. A 30" monitor with a 4k resolution and a PC with a single graphics card that can run the newest titles at stable 60 FPS... Now that is the way it's meant to be played :(

Can you order from Australia and mail it? My mates actually coming camping here in Feb and is buying computer shit to take back to NZ on the plane

Also have a 750Ti in my spare pc. Its a legit BEAST of a card and its super cheap.
I have a 460 and am getting a 970 soon, hopefully I can expect a price drop in the 970 soon because of this? (I doubt it thought!)

I can see the 980 definitely dropping with the release of more 900 series cards and AMD's release, but I don't think the 970 will be dropping anytime soon given it's price/performance point.

That's a really solid GPU overclock.
970 is probably the best bang for buck, and wont have to bother getting another dx12 card anytime soon.
I bought a factory overclocked 970 (I know it's easy to do it myself, but 3 year warranty) and it's already in a DHL truck somewhere, I'm super hyped for it, maybe it'll even get here today.
Upgrading from a 660Ti because that's already starting to show its age

Yeah, I can't wait to get a pair of 970's. Even my 680 can't keep up with 2560x1440 @ 96Hz.
I got GTX 770 and I don't see myself needing anything more powerful unless I get into hardcore 3D rendering bullshit.
I've just got a new computer (home-built by my Dad) for Christmas, but the condition was that I had to buy the graphics card myself. Is this a good one to get? It's got some really good specs and I can already run games on Low settings just using the onboard graphics card, so I'm hoping that with a good card I can run everything on higher settings.

Same card, same philosophy.
Hello brother.
I bought 2 980's
I suck at money
I bought the 970 and OC'd it up to 980 tier, saved about $400. It's some special edition with triple fans and it's a fucking brick.

Ahh, the classic Nvidia chart™, making it look like it's twice as fast at first glance when in reality, it's more like a 10-20% improvement.

Of course, if you just ignore the numbers on the left.

Pretty much every marketing campaign ever has done that.

What are you on? Look at those bars man, they fucking fade into infinity.
What are you on? Look at those bars man, they fucking fade into infinity.
There's a clear end for each bar. And it's obvious that overclocked ends at 1500 and 7.5
I don't think anyone who's had some form of education with graphs is going to think "Oh hey, let's throw out everything i've ever learned about reading a graph and believe that overclocking it means it's 2x better."
