Well, I start installing Windows 7, and suddenly I get this error:
No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK.
I am installing on a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4677. From what I can see, maybe it's from not having hard drive drivers or something? I'm confused to hell right now, and I would REALLY appreciate any help from my FP brethren.
Thanks in advance.
During or before it begins?
I click "Install Windows", it says "Starting Setup" for a minute , then comes to a window saying
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: If the windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step.".
I click OK, then go to an infinite loop of that message.
Oh my good God. I didn't think that error was actually real.
Okay, after googling a tad I may have found a solution. If you're comfortable tinkering in your BIOS, look around for an option that goes along the lines of "SATA compatibility/operation mode" or something like that. Check its options for one called AHCI and set it to that or whatever ISN'T compatibility mode. It should work afterwords.
It could also simply be a faulty disc. If you can, burn another copy of it (not off of the one you already have though), and burn at the slowest speed possible.
Can't really burn another disc, and there isn't a command like that in my BIOS
