I need a new gaming computer that can support Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead 2. I dont need a monitor, mouse, or keyboard.
Use Newegg, please.
http://www.newegg.com/
What I'd prefer:
- At least 500 GB hard drive Space
- 6 or 8 GB of RAM
- New case. Doesn't have to be fancy or stylish.
I live in South Carolina, United States.
6 or 8 gig of RAM+OS isn't happening.
6 or 8 gig of RAM+OS isn't happening.
Excuse me for being stupid, I had no idea how much an OS is.
$109 for Windows 7 Home premium
Over 4 gigs of ram is kinda a waste. Unless your cpu takes triple channel they 6 gigs is acceptable.
Tips: Building a computer at home is usually cheaper then buying pre-constructed ones.
Windows 7 home premium costs $200 if you don't have vista.
here is a decent budget case for you, its the lowest pricing i can find at Newegg.

I found one that anikilol had posted in another thread, with the above case replacing the one it had.

Would this support Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead? Any changes to lower cost would be helpful.

Yeah, but I am going to assume he needs an OS too, and considering a 5770 is equivalent to a 4870, it'll run both of those games maxed fine.
Also, if you need to save money, get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103706

Also, spend a little extra money and get XP Home OEM.

do not get this
do not get this
now that i think about it's a bit bottlenecked
well shit
[editline]09:53PM[/editline]
and some of the parts
ah bullshit i should've thought this through
you do not need 6 gb of ram for fallout 3 and l4d. i'm running 4 gigs for l4d2
that WILL reduce price, and anything free is wanted. i got my hard disk and monitor free, and they are just what i need for now.
the case comes with a power supply built in, and you don't need sli compatibility for a budget PC.

SUPER OVERCLOCK MAKES IT THE FASTEST GPU EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes people just prove that the world is full of stupid people.

Also nice cheap case.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119161
i didn't care much about the superclock shit
that was a stupid bulid
The thing is, most cases that come with a pre-power supply will most likely either be a faulty.
I bought a case for 40$ with a 350w power supply, needless to say I ended up with a poor case.

Gimme some feedback please Facepunch.
I realized that I forgot a hard drive, and I had to edit it a bit to stay within my budget. With the processor that anikilol posted, it lowered it greatly.

6Gbs is really not needed. A 4850 will plays games significantly better than the 4650.
Best thing to do is buy your PSU and case separate from reliable brands such as Cooler Master and Antec. That way you know you're getting quality, and their prices are not outrageous. There's no need to consider Corsair products being that you're on a budget.
Benchmarks for the 4850.
