Chrome is an extremely fast browser. There are too many features to name off. Google is even developing a Open Source Operating System based around Chrome. The browser uses the WebKit Layout engine, along with the application framework. The public stable version was released in December 2008 and since then it has grown to be one of the most used browsers on the web. You probably are getting tired listening to my lesson on Chrome right? Well, here are some features to get you up on the Chromewagon. Chrome comes with: Javascript Extension Compatibility Application Compatibility Greasemonkey HTML5 Support Adobe Flash Player Browser Sync Import data from other browsers Advertisement Blocking Simple Interface Automatic Translation If this didn't convince you to get this browser, then you should know that everything is open-source. This means that you can edit from the bottom to the top of the browser. Did I mention that they decided to merge the search bar and address bar into one? Making more space for anything else you want. Well, they did, it is called the OmniBox. If one thing on Chrome crashes, it doesn't crash the whole browser. You just have to refresh and bam! The page is back and the user is satisfied. Hard to convince eh? Well, then you might just want to know that Chrome is also being made into an Operating System! An OS is being made around Chrome. A browser OS? It is a extremely fast and simple Operating System that will be mainly used for Netbooks. Everything you do on the OS will be automatically synced online. If you drop your Netbook from a building, just go out and buy a new one and that video you were about to edit will still be there for you. Oh, and so will every other thing that you had on it. Chrome OS is Linux based as well, so the speed doubles. It is still in development, so many things will be changed. Others will be added. That means that you get your Browser with a Open-Source OS. I thought we already had a chrome thread?
Old news.
Old news.
I made the thread to introduce people to something they may have heard of but ignored. It is an awesome browser and the fastest I have used.
You could add ohh i dunno... the GOOGLE CHROME LAPTOP! Cr-48
Forgot link to http://chromeos.hexxeh.net/ Built by our very own Hexxeh
Edit the OP for the Chrome with OS X part. It's only compatible with OS X 10.5+ and as long as you have an intel processor.
Chrome OS is Linux based as well, so the speed doubles.
... what
I still prefer the way Firefox feels, but I use Chrome on my ultra low power minicomputer. It works really well with such limited hardware.
If this didn't convince you to get this browser, then you should know that everything is open-source. I love Chrome, it shits all over Firefox.
Chrome comes with: Javascript Extension Compatibility Application Compatibility Greasemonkey HTML5 Support Adobe Flash Player Browser Sync Import data from other browsers Advertisement Blocking Simple Interface Automatic Translation
Okay even more nitpicking here those features are essentially standard with most browsers. Especially JavaScript. That's not a good reason to tell me a browser is good. At all. As for ad blocking, pop-up blocking is standard and if Chrome had full ad-blocking, that's a conflict of interest between them and Doubleclick, so I'm assuming Chrome only has pop-up blocking, and you have to get a third party extension for proper ad-blocking like ABP, which happens to now be on Chrome too as a rebadged AdThwart (yay?) And arguably, browser sync is turning into a bit of a standard now with Opera Link existing, and Firefox Sync developing from Weave.
I love Chrome mostly for how little screen it takes up. Very nice looking, minimalistic browser.

AdThwart is long gone, shows how much you know.
*Before reading, I'm not bashing chrome, as I've switched to it and love it, that being said...* Your presentation is very nubile. It feels as if a third grader was writing a persuasive essay.
Chrome is an extremely fast browser. There are too many features to name off.
Shouldn't be writing this if you say there are too many features to name, as that is clearly not true.
-Features-
Aside from the auto-translation I've never had a browser that couldn't already do all that, nice try though.
If this didn't convince you to get the browser, then you should know that everything is open-source. This means you can edit from the bottom to the top of the browser
You make it sound as if anyone with any knowledge whatsoever could do this, when that is clearly not the case. Sure, you can get extensions and addons made by other people, but firefox does this aswell.
Chrome OS is Linux based as well, so the speed doubles.
:frog: You're also missing one of the most important persuasive techniques: Bulleting the cons and turning it around to still make it look good. You don't even go into why someone might NOT want the browser because, ya know, it's not for EVERYONE or everyone would have it.
Chrome is fast but Firefox 4 can handle more tabs better, in terms of resources. I tested it myself, so don't just think I'm making stuff up because I like all browsers except IE.
I just noticed that the addons page has changed.
No, Chrome has AdBlock,
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom Gee TehWhale that sure looks like it's inbuilt to me
which is actually more feature-rich than "AdBlock Plus" on FireFox. Why, back in those days...
