Ok so I just got a new computer which I built my self.
CPU: i5 750
GPU: HD 5850
Ram: 4Gb Ripjaw series
Mobo: Gigabyte UD2
Now it is not really a freeze but it pauses for a split second and I hear this kinda beep coming from the computers motherboard. It only happens when 1. I am starting a song on itunes after a long period of not listening to music. or 2. When I start a song and at any random time it pauses. Nothing freezes except itunes it self. Anyone have an idea what it is? It does not bother me but I just want to find out why it does that.
Have you tried a different media player, such as winamp?
You sure it's a beep and not just the HD spooling up?
Go to control panel and the go to administrator tools. Look for event viewer. Leave it open, the next time the studder happens, look for an error around the same time it happened. I think it's going to be a WMI issue, I have been seeing them recently.
The fact there's a beep indicates hardware. One beep can mean a multitude of things. Consult your mobo manual for information about beep codes.
