Hi Guys I'm looking for a Gaming PC build but with no Graphics card (I will be using my old one and saving up for a GTX 580 after the build.), no OS, no monitor, no mouse and keyboard. just the PC build. So far: Motherboard (£155.62): Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, Intel Z68, S 1155, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, PCIe 3.0 (x16), D-Sub/DVI-D/HDMI, ATX CPU (£174.18) : Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked, S1155, Sndy Bridge, Quad, 3.3GHz, HD3000 IGP 850Mhz, 6MB Cache 95W Retail RAM (£58.56): 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Racing Red, PC3-14900 (1866), Non-ECC, CAS 9-10-9-27, XMP, 1.5V Case (£129.99): Corsair 600T Graphite Series Limited Edition White Mid Tower Gaming Case with Side Window Optical Drive (£51.58): LG 10x Blu-ray Reader, 16x DVD±R, 8x +RW, 6x -RW, 12x RAM - Retail Hard drive (£92.52): 1TB Western Digital WD10EARX Caviar Green, SATA 6Gb/s, IntelliPower, 64MB Cache, 8ms, Quiet Power Supply(PSU) (£129.96) : 850W PSU, OCZ Technology ZX Series ZX850W-UN, Modular, 92% Eff', 80 PLUS Gold, SLI/CrossFire, EPS 12V, Quiet Fan, ATX TOTAL: £809.15 Please can you tell what I should change? or Tell me if i should go and buy this? Thanks
Depending on cost i would go for the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 gen3 mobo. Also in my opinion, any HD that's "green" is a slow piece of crap. You don't need 850W, not even with a singular GTX580.
Why on earth do you keep insisting on buying stuff which mostly falls out of our recommendation in these threads you've created? £800 without graphics card is: Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 £113.52 CPU: i5 2500k £166.98 RAM: 8GB Corsair DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333) £30.96 Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 £64.18 Optical Drive: Blu-ray Writer £64.78 Or Standard DVD writer £13.55 Hard drive: 1TB Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 £90.12 Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650w TX V2 £71.58 Or Corsair Enthusuast 850w if planning to SLI GTX 580 in the future £95.82 Case: Corsair 600T White Graphite Series Mid Tower Case £138.72 Total cost: £765.02 maximum. Just as a note I chose the case and blu-ray drive because it's clear it's something you wanted. You could downgrade the drive and case and save more money so you can put it elsewhere such as a 64GB SSD boot drive or even towards that GTX580 (you're better off getting a GTX 570 for the price of it).
