• Permanent black screen after extended motherboard splash, after physical move.

As described in title, after packing up PC/monitor/etc into a car and moving it a few hours, moving inside immediately then setting it up the next day, booting the PC now leads to an (unresponsive) motherboard splash screen (with keys for going into BIOS, etc) hanging around for a full minute or so before going to a black screen, where it remains indefinitely. At this point, I have tried booting with all USBs removed, clearing CMOS manually (using a screwdriver- motherboard oddly did not have a CMOS clear cap anywhere on it that I've found.) I have not removed the battery from the motherboard when clearing CMOS because it is directly under my GPU, which is extremely finicky to remove, and something I may not even be able to accomplish without finding better tools. I am unable to enter BIOS setup when booting, as the splash screen does not respond to key presses at all. I do not have the windows install disk with me at the moment after the move. I've heard of heatsink issues causing this, but the heatsink seems firmly seated and heat does not seem to be an issue. It's a frustrating issue, especially as some important schoolwork is on the PC that it would be nice to be able to access without having to take the HDD out to have data retrieved. The PC is about a year and a half old, with no previous issues that I can remember. Would appreciate some ideas!
