I would like to buy a cheap graphics card for my brother's birthday and this one looks alright.
I should let you know that I know absolutely nothing about computers.
how old is he? can you give some specs of his computer?
It's actually pretty piss poor:

How much are you willing to go up to in terms of a budget?
Fucking bad, and Uhh how much are you willing to spend?
Intergrated graphics beat the snot out of that
Gift him money instead. As long as he knows his shit more than you do, he will be able to make the choice himself and not fuck up for sure.
He is 10 so I doubt he knows more than me.
I am willing to spend about 70$ maybe 100$.
What are the other parts in his PC?

I am not sure.
It used to be mine but then I got another one and I passed it to him.
If it helps, I got it in 2007.
It's also using onboard graphics, has trouble running TF2 on even the lowest settings.
Also I got a card for it in 2010 or 2011 but it didn't work, the screen wouldn't turn on.

You can find out quickly and easily by downloading and installing Speccy
Take a screenshot of it after it loads.

You sure that's safe?
Gee, sorry for not downloading the first thing someone shoves in my face jackweeds.
I wouldn't download that, it tried to automatically download something to my computer.
Speccy has always been safe. No idea what happeed to you thn.

Actually, after a OS upgrade - a older version of speccy gave my computer a BSOD. But otherwise fine :v:
If it tried to download something on your computer you must have been on some sketchy site.

Speccy didn't work at Windows 8 release day, at least. Anyway, Speccy is completely safe, there's nothing dubious about it.
How about ~85?

Free Far Cry 3 too.

That looks pretty good, come with Far Cry 3 too so I would assume it would be able to run it?

Not at ultra on a 1080p monitor, but it should handle low quite well.
I have the previous version (6770), and it will run crysis 3 on low at 60+ fps.

7770 is a ton better than the 6770 (What was equal to 5770)
It will run everything, maybe not on max but it will run everything.

Awesome, he doesn't plan on playing Far Cry 3 anyway so this great.
Ehh, you guys are forgetting his PSU and so on.
OP, you'll have to supply us with some more info - first and foremost we need the system specs (just use Speccy), but we'll also need the PSU model. For this you'll have to open up the computer and check the brand name and wattage on the box that spits out all the wires for different stuff. Then post everything here.
Well, the 7750 doesn't require a nice PSU really, not even a 6pin.

Personally I wouldn't throw a hundred bucks on something and then have it blow up a month later. Even quite small power loads can fuck up shitty PSUs.

(Not the same game, I know, but same engine and basically the same sort of fidelity you see in base Far Cry 3)
Here's Blood Dragon for me with my single Sapphire HD 7770 on stock clocks, a Q9505, and every setting on it's maximum value @ 1080p (Note that not every setting has 'Ultra' or 'Very High' as an option):

Yes, it is choppy. That's because of the recording and my dated-as-fuck processor - When I'm just playing the game I get from 45ish fps to 70ish fps. Perfectly playable. I usually play with shadows, AA and vegetation turned down a notch or two though to get a constant 60+ fps.

No, it's gonna kill your PC, then jump out the CD drive, kill your dog and rape your family.
Of course it's safe, we wouldn't be linking it if it wasn't.
then jump out the CD drive
I remember getting a virus in the 90s causing my cd-drive to go out and in repeatedly.
I got scared.
keep in mind that if it's a PC with integrated graphics from 2007 then the processor's not gonna be up to much, can the OP post a speccy so we can make a more informed recommendation plzkthx?
The reason it downloaded as soon as you clicked the link was because it was a direct link to the download :/
