It would be an [i]alright[/i] game if it weren't for the shit players. I'll get called a noob by some twat kid who will then just call me a nerd bcuz i dun typ3 like diz. Expect shit from every 11 year old in the game if you're not some stupid fucking pure named "pur3strpk3rpwn11836."
Runescape is alright in free mode but membership will grant you over 70% more features and its not too demanding for system specs. For Java graphics (it's NOT flash) it is very outstanding as it is much more appealing to the eye than it used to be, sure its not the prettiest nor the most advanced compared to other MMOs but it is quite good if you are not biased. Don't start talking about how Runescape doesn't have any storyline, it does through a series of quest chains that focus on their specific areas.
For problems this could include the trade limit, the unbalanced combat triangle, or the community itself.
* The trade limit is designed to reduce gold farmers and to prevent item scamming, and as a side effect it prevented manual drop parties and stopped legitimate gifting.
* The current combat triangle is debatable to favor warriors on top, rangers right behind, and mages on the very bottom. This issue is mainly ranted on how little updates mages get in equipment and skills.
* Yes the community of Runescape can be horrid, but other MMOs suffer from community problems as well. Its mainly due to the audience of immature players (usually 13 year olds or younger, or maybe a little older) that end up making things look bad to the good players.
I played it for a few years and stopped like 6 months before the HD update.
It used to be good, but I think it's shit now.
My opinion on Runescape? Okay.
I find it like EverGrind (EverQuest). All you do is kill shit to gain XP all day. There's little to no actual questing that involves going here, killing these guys, and coming back for the reward.
I've been too used to WoW, which makes real MMORPG's like Runescape hard as hell to learn.
I want to be doing more than just grinding all damn day on cows so I can do killing quests. And don't get me started on that "I want # loaves of bread" job!
I was about fucking ready to pull my hair out on that one. I go through hell trying to get the necessary buckets and shit, up and down the damn ladder in that windmill, then have to run back, tell it to cook all the dough which actually means "only do the one you got selected".
Then watch as several of them burn due to my shitty cooking skill, and forgetting how to give the good ones to the cook and ending up FUCKING EATING THE BREAD instead of giving it to the cook!! :bang:
I wanted to shove the bread, even the burnt bread down the cook's throat .
I played it for a while when I was 9 or sumtin, then my friend was going all like OMA GAH I GOTZ 12K GP LOLOLOLOLOLLOLOOLOLOLLLLOLOLOL, then I just backed off.

First game I played on the internet.
I played it a ton back in gradeschool, 7-8th grade. I just graduate Highschool, and I've been bored all summer waiting to move up to college, so out of curiosity I logged onto my old account.
I find myself starting to play it again, oh God.
I got called a noob for wearing armor. I got called a noob for having a name without numbers. I got called a noob for cutting wood. I got called a noob for standing still. I got called a noob for using magic and range. I got called a noob for pking.
The game wasn't so bad (until Jagex kept removing/changing stuff people liked), but the community is full of 8-11 year old bastards who don't know what "noob" means, or how someone becomes a noob.

It's boring, it's repetitive, it looks like crap, and its community sucks.
Considering I once ended up making about.... 4K in almost 3 hours, I quit a while ago.
NWN2 is where it's at.
boring game.... is boring...
It's a great game when you're like, nine/ten.
But when you get older it's really meh.
Good for youngster's and shit.
But not a game for me honestly..
