I have noticed that my 9800GT is starting to lay off, and I am currently looking for a new GPU that will max most games out now and be safe for the future (only nvidia, don't ask why, it just feels right) I run at a 1920x1080 resolution with a i7-920 CPU and 6GB of RAM. I am thinking about getting a 560 TI but I am not sure. Money is kinda tight and I will be able to spend around 360 dollar which is what the 560TI costs in Sweden. But if you can find something more expensive but better then do tell, not to expensive though.
GAMES I AM LOOKING TO MAX OUT OR PLAY AT A HIGH GRAPHICS SETTING: Crysis 2 Valve games Witcher 2 Batman Arkham City RAGE Skyrim Dead Island ... and future games
560 Ti should suit you, you're right. Worth looking at the 6970 and 570 too though.
Try to look at the 570. BF3 maxes out at 1920x1080 with 2x GTX570-s in SLI. The reviewer also has a i7 920.
What 570 is right then? There are alot of em, gigabyte etc.

EVGA always, just be sure to register the product with them when you get it. That way you get a extended warranty.
You defiantly want a non-reference cooler on the 570 Mine hits 86ish when playing BF3 I should probably reapply the thermal paste
My EVGA reference cooler only hits 58-60c playing BF3.
I'm sitting at like 52c idle right now I think it's time to redo the fans on my case and replace the thermal paste
You can get a 6870 for $150 depending on the rebates and such
