I am looking for a 4 bay NAS enclosure. I have a Seagate BlackArmor 440 now but it only has a 100 meg NIC on it...so streaming from it is slow as fuck. The drives are fine, (maybe a little slow at 5400rpm), but they are fine for this. They're Seagate 2TB SATA drives. So I just need a decently priced enclosure compatible with those drives, as well as SSD since eventually I'd like to have all SSD when the price comes down. Also would like to have a GUI that I can hit from a browser for configuration, which I assume every single NAS has. Under $100 would be nice. Suggestions?

No point in having a gigabit connection with a mobo that cant even handle it.
The higher end Synology NAS' are good kit.
Synology is way over my budget unfortunately.
I don't think you are going to find good "ready to use" 4 bay NAS for that price.
Personally I'd go with QNAP or Synology:

Also you there is NETGEAR ReadyNAS 104 for 190$ but I've heard it's OS is very limited in what you can do with it compared to QNAP and Synology.
Yeah QNAP ones are awesome. Got one for a smaller site for work and it can copy ~5TB out of VMware to it in a few hours.

Having 200-300mbit speed limit because of the CPU is still better than having 100mbit limit because of the network card.
Are you only upgrading because of the NIC? That NIC is gigabit, not 100 mbps. so if that's the reason, there may be an issue with your router or a switch that is negotiating it down to 100 rather than the full gig.
I want to upgrade because streaming video from this thing to any PC in my house is slow as fuck. It buffers constantly.
